Installation of intrinsically safe circuits
|
Installation (a summary):
Upon installation, the standards and regulations in force
must be observed (Cenelec, Atex 118a,). Intrinsically safe
circuits should be separated from non IS circuits. At bare
live connections (terminals) a minimum distance of 50 mm
should be allowed between IS and non IS circuits. Between
IS circuits the distance should be at minimum 6 mm. Intrinsically
safe cables and wires should be in light blue.
